Robert Arthur Wiles, a 26-year-old business development manager for his family's aircraft maintenance company, National Flight Services, was last seen on April 1, 2008, at Lakeland-Linder Regional Airport in Lakeland, Florida, where he worked. Two days later, his family received a ransom note demanding $750,000. Despite following the instructions and leaving the money, no one came to collect it, and Wiles was never heard from again.
