Janis Kay Sanders, a 24-year-old mother of two, disappeared on July 20, 1975, after leaving her job as a waitress at Pete's Patio in Niles, Michigan. That night, she was followed by her estranged boyfriend, Gerald Libertowski, to the parking lot.
