Cynthia Woolard Missing Person Case

Cynthia Campbell Woolard, age 21, was last seen on February 1, 1979, in North Fort Myers, Florida. She disappeared under suspicious circumstances after leaving a bar in Cape Coral. Cynthia, who was studying to become a nurse, had left her paycheck and purse at her home on Pine Island. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly having marital problems and had been in an argument with her husband, Roger.

Cynthia had distinct physical characteristics due to a car accident before her disappearance, including a left leg that was shorter than her right, requiring her to wear a special shoe with a built-up sole. She also had surgical scars from the accident on her left femur and arm. Despite extensive searches and ongoing investigation efforts by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, no trace of Cynthia has been found, and her case remains unsolved. Authorities continue to seek information that could lead to closure.
