On a spring day in April of 1979, ten-year-old Randy Doyle Parscale Jr. was enjoying a family outing in the scenic Peppersauce Canyon, located in the Santa Catalina Mountains near Oracle, Arizona. The young boy, described as a third-grader at Roberts Elementary School, was hiking with his grandfather and two brothers.
