Michelle Meredith Mulcahy, a 17-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was last seen on July 7, 1979. She had been living with a friend at the time and was reportedly on her way to participate in a dance contest at the Candy Store Lounge on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Michelle left her friend's residence in Pompano Beach with an unidentified white man and woman driving a black 1978 or 1979 Cadillac. However, she never arrived at her destination and has not been seen or heard from since.
At the time of her disappearance, Michelle was described as 5'6" to 5'8" tall, weighing around 115 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She had a distinguishing dime-sized surgical scar under her left breast. Investigators suspect foul play as Michelle left behind all her personal belongings, including her clothes, makeup, and the car she had recently purchased. Moreover, she had been involved with drugs and was in a relationship with a convicted drug smuggler, who disappeared around the same time and is believed to have potentially fled to South America.
