Elizabeth Ann Allen, a 55-year-old woman, was last seen on January 20, 1980, at her apartment in El Paso, Texas. She lived in a second-floor apartment at the Fountain Plaza complex, where she also worked as an assistant manager. On the day of her disappearance, Allen spoke to her sister by phone and may have had breakfast with an unidentified man. After this, she vanished without leaving a note or making any travel plans known to her family.
Four days later, on January 24, her white 1971 Ford Thunderbird was found abandoned near San Bernardino, California. Inside the car, gas station receipts were discovered, showing purchases made using her late husband’s credit card at various locations in New Mexico and Arizona. Investigators believe Allen was abducted, but there were no signs of a struggle in her apartment, and no witnesses have come forward.
In 1983, serial killer Henry Lee Lucas claimed responsibility for her murder, but investigators could not confirm his involvement. Despite extensive efforts, including several public appeals, her case remains unsolved, and Allen has never been found.Last Seen: Jan 20, 1980
