William Frederick Woolheater, a 22-year-old from Albany, New York, was last seen on February 26, 1981. He told his family that he planned to travel to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras celebration and to look for a job as a cook. Shortly after his departure, Woolheater called his mother, though it was unclear whether he had reached New Orleans. He was never heard from again.
