Maureen Russell Baca, 32, was last seen around August 21, 1982, in Adelanto, California. Her disappearance remains a mystery, and it was not reported until 1984, two years after she was last seen. As a result, many of the details surrounding her last known activities are unclear, with her reported date of last contact based on the recollection of the person who filed the report. Baca’s family has stated that she was never heard from again after this time.
Baca, a Caucasian woman, stood between 5'1" and 5'4" tall, weighed 95 to 110 pounds, and had brown eyes. Her hair may have been blonde or reddish-brown at the time. She had distinctive scars: a ten-inch scar on her chest and an eight-inch scar on her right inner arm. Baca also used the last name "Murfee" on occasion. Despite the investigation, very few details have emerged about her disappearance, and no leads have been publicly confirmed.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is overseeing the case, but Baca's whereabouts remain unknown.
