Brandi Lee Krajewski, a 2-year-old girl, was last seen on October 9, 1982, in Nipton, California. She was left in the care of her mother’s boyfriend, Daniel James Waters, while her mother went to work. When her mother returned, both Brandi and Waters were gone, along with a few of Brandi's personal items, including a teddy bear and blankets.
After several months of investigation, Waters was located in January 1983 in a remote desert area near Blue Diamond, Nevada, but Brandi was not with him. Waters refused to provide any information about Brandi's whereabouts, and he was arrested, although he did not face charges related to Brandi's disappearance. Authorities suspect foul play, believing that Brandi may have been abducted and murdered. Despite these suspicions, no definitive evidence has surfaced, and Brandi's case remains unsolved. Her family and investigators continue to hope for new information to emerge.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is still investigating, and Brandi’s case remains open as an unsolved disappearance. Age-progression photos have been created to assist in identifying her if she is still alive.
