Frank Lamont Fox, a 22-year-old from Manchester, New York, was last seen on January 1, 1983, after attending a New Year's Eve party. He left the gathering at around 1:00 a.m., opting to walk back to his residence, which was about a mile away. Despite several offers for a ride home, Fox declined them and attempted to take a shortcut through fields rather than following the main road.
