Sharaun Taree Cole, 12 years old, disappeared on February 25, 1983, from her neighborhood in Manhattan, New York. She was last seen around 5:30 p.m., playing near her family’s residence on Edgecomb Avenue. Sharaun had gone to a nearby park but never returned home. Despite extensive searches, she has not been seen or heard from since.
At the time of her disappearance, Sharaun was described as being between 5'6" and 5'7", weighing around 110 to 115 pounds, with
black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a beige wool jacket, a gold sweater, blue jeans, and blue-and-white sneakers. There were no signs of trouble at home, and her mother reported that Sharaun had no reason to run away.
Investigators have few clues about what may have happened, and her case remains unsolved. Age-progression images have been created to estimate her current appearance.
