On March 31, 1983, Pamela left her job at Key Savings and Loan for her lunch break at approximately 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. She was last seen wearing a light green dress with a white print and lace collar, a tan-colored hip-length leather jacket, and a turquoise bracelet and ring. Her lunchtime errands were routine; she walked two blocks to another bank to cash a check for several hundred dollars, then stopped at a Safeway grocery store. There, she purchased a lottery ticket, a pack of cigarettes, and a to-go meal of fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. Her roommate, from her own teller window at the bank, watched as Pamela entered their apartment building across the street. This was the last time anyone is known to have seen her.
