In the late spring of 1983, a 30-year-old man named Greg Prescott Farmer was enjoying a vacation in the scenic paradise of Maui, Hawaii. Originally from the Wrightwood, California area, Greg, who sometimes went by the spelling 'Gregg,' was celebrating his thirtieth birthday on May 29th of that year.
