Richard Gerald Bayne, 31, was last seen on May 24, 1984, in Montrose, New York, where he was a patient at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital. He had a history of paranoid schizophrenia and alcoholism. Bayne, who stood 5'6" and weighed around 170 pounds, was wearing a white checkered shirt and blue jeans at the time of his disappearance.
