On a summer evening in August 1984, 36-year-old Nancy Jean Medina, a mother with blond hair and blue eyes, dropped her children off at a babysitter's home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She told them she was going to watch video movies with some friends. This loving act of ensuring her children were cared for would be one of the last known things she did.
