Chipley Charles Sanders, age 13, was last seen on October 4, 1984, in Ashland, Kentucky. He and his friend, James Eric Bess, ran away from a boys' group home located on 13th Street. Despite extensive searches and the passage of many years, neither of the boys has been seen or heard from since that day. Authorities initially classified their disappearance as a runaway case, but no evidence has emerged to confirm their whereabouts.
