On a summer day, June 3, 1985, 13-year-old Michael "Lloyd" Reese left his home on East 1700 South in Salt Lake City for what should have been a day of fun at East Canyon Reservoir. He was with his friend, 21-year-old David Jaramillo, and two other friends. Michael, who had just graduated from Glendale Middle School, was known for being popular in his neighborhood and had a diverse group of friends.
