In the late summer of 1985, a 34-year-old man named Randall "Randy" Lee, from Tyrone, Oklahoma, vanished. On August 17, 1985, he was last seen in the border town of Del Rio, Texas. At the time of his disappearance, Randall was a married father. The exact details surrounding what led him to be in Del Rio remain somewhat unclear, but he had communicated a plan to seek employment. His family would never hear from him again, initiating a mystery that has now spanned decades, leaving his loved ones with unanswered questions. The last known communication from Randall was a phone call to his father on August 15, 1985. During the call, he mentioned his intention to travel from Del Rio to Eagle Pass, Texas, another city along the U.S.-Mexico border, in search of work. It is unknown if he ever reached Eagle Pass. Along with Randall, his vehicle also disappeared. There is some discrepancy regarding the exact vehicle he was driving. Initially, it was reported as a blue and gray 1977 Chevrolet pickup with Oklahoma license plate number 851-1203. However, his wife and son later stated that this truck had been sold before he went missing and that he was actually driving a copper-colored Chevy Scottsdale pickup from the mid-1970s. His brother had reportedly seen him in the blue and gray truck in Perryton, Texas, just days before he vanished, apparently on his way to the border. This conflicting information has added another layer of complexity to the investigation. At the time he went missing, Randall was described as being "obsessed" with religion and was also dealing with a nervous condition. The investigation into Randall's disappearance has remained open over the years, with the Liberal Police Department in Kansas handling the case as his family resided there. Randall is described as a white male with light brown hair and hazel eyes. He has several distinguishing marks, including scars on one or both of his wrists, a scar in his right eyebrow, and numerous scars on his hands. He also wore prescription glasses with thick lenses and dark frames. Despite the passage of time and the efforts of law enforcement, no trace of Randall or his vehicle has ever been found. The lack of concrete evidence and the conflicting reports about his vehicle have made the search exceptionally difficult, leaving his case unsolved and his family waiting for answers.
