Alexander Sol Olive, a 4-year-old boy, was last seen on November 9, 1985, in South Lake Tahoe, California. He was abducted by his non-custodial father, Ulysses H. Roberson. Following the abduction, Alexander’s mother, Rosemary Olive, sought to locate her son and demanded his return, but was violently assaulted by Roberson. Despite a court order granting Rosemary custody of Alexander, Roberson refused to reveal his son's whereabouts.
In 2001, DNA evidence and witness testimonies led to Roberson being charged with Alexander’s murder. A key witness testified that she saw Roberson beat Alexander and later dispose of his body. Further DNA tests revealed Alexander's blood on clothing found in Roberson’s van. Despite this, Alexander’s body has never been found. In 2009, Roberson was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
