Antreas Chester Cantrell, a 9-year-old boy, was last seen on January 16, 1988, while on a fishing trip with his parents, Jim Chester Cantrell and Bobbie Lynn Green, at Lake Shasta in Shasta County, California. The family had been fishing near the North Shasta Dam when a boating accident occurred, and it is presumed that all three drowned. While the bodies of Jim and Bobbie were recovered shortly after the accident, Antreas' remains were never found.
At the time of his disappearance, Antreas, nicknamed "Chet," was wearing a gray waist-length coat, gray pants, and black sneakers with Velcro straps. He had brown hair, blue eyes, and a distinguishing scar near his left eye. Despite extensive searches, no trace of him has ever been found, and authorities continue to classify his case as a "Lost/Injured Missing" case. The Shasta County Sheriff's Department remains the investigating agency, and the case has remained unresolved for decades.
