Paula Janet Waid, aged 35 at the time, was last seen on March 15, 1991, at her residence in Land O'Lakes, Florida. Standing 5'9" tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds, Paula had red, curly hair and brown eyes. On the day she disappeared, she was reportedly wearing a red jacket, a white blouse, and black slacks. She was also known for wearing several gold tulip-shaped rings, each set with stones of different colors.
