Rene Perez Jr., a 6-year-old boy, disappeared on September 20, 1994, along with his mother, Cecilia Newball, in Chatsworth, California. The two were last seen at their apartment, where they lived with Cecilia's husband, Alfredo Newball. On the day of their disappearance, Alfredo left for work, and when he returned, both Cecilia and Rene were gone. Cecilia’s car was found parked outside, and inside, there was a goodbye card signed by her along with her wedding and engagement rings.
Strangely, none of their personal belongings, including Rene’s eyeglasses, were taken with them.
In the days following their disappearance, Alfredo received a typewritten letter, supposedly from Cecilia, claiming she had left him for another man and was moving to Honduras with Rene. Investigators, however, believed the letter was a fabrication and suspected foul play. Despite extensive investigations, no trace of either Cecilia or Rene has ever been found, and they are both presumed to be victims of foul play. There are suspicions regarding Alfredo’s involvement, but he has consistently maintained his innocence.
Authorities have continued to search for leads over the years, and age-progressed images of Rene have been released in hopes of finding him. However, the case remains unsolved.Last Seen: Sep 20, 1994
