Sabrina Aisenberg, only five months old, disappeared from her family's home in Valrico, Florida, on November 24, 1997. Her parents, Marlene and Steve Aisenberg, reported that Sabrina was last seen sleeping in her crib around midnight, but when Marlene checked on her at 6:42 a.m., both Sabrina and her yellow blanket were missing. The garage door was found open, though there were no immediate signs of forced entry.
Authorities initially suspected foul play, focusing on the Aisenbergs due to inconsistencies in their statements. Investigators placed wiretaps in the family's home, but the transcripts from these recordings were deemed unreliable, and charges against the parents were dropped. Despite extensive media coverage and search efforts, Sabrina has never been found. In 2003, a lead emerged suggesting Sabrina might be a girl called "Paloma" found near the Mexican border, but DNA testing disproved the connection.
Sabrina’s case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to investigate, hoping for new information that could lead to her discovery. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children periodically releases age-progressed images to help in the search. Her parents maintain their innocence and continue to believe that Sabrina may still be alive.
