In the spring of 1998, a 30-year-old man named Lloyd M. McKinney vanished from the area of Salt Lick Creek in Vanceburg, Kentucky. He was last seen at a campsite in a location where the backwaters of the Ohio River can sometimes flow during periods of high water.
