Richard Edward McCray, a 40-year-old man from Rembert, South Carolina, has been missing since December 27, 1999. On the day of his disappearance, McCray was last seen entering a wooded area near Highway 521 North and Ellerbe Road. He had gone there with a friend to collect clay, a routine task for him.
