In the early morning hours of a January day in 2008, the life of James Reginald Harley took a sharp and bewildering turn, leaving his family with years of unanswered questions. Known to his loved ones as Reggie, he was a passenger in a vehicle traveling along Highway 521 near Rembert, South Carolina, when the car veered off the road and struck a tree.
