Tristen Alan "Buddy" Myers was just four years old when he disappeared on October 5, 2000, from his great-aunt and uncle's home in Roseboro, North Carolina. On that day, Tristen wandered away from the house with two family dogs—a black Doberman puppy and a tan Chihuahua mix. The dogs eventually returned home, but Tristen did not. Extensive searches were conducted in the surrounding wooded areas and nearby ponds, but no trace of him was ever found.
