On a brisk autumn day, November 21, 2001, 16-year-old Kami Luella Vollendroff and her 18-year-old boyfriend, Eugene Hyatt, vanished from the scenic but treacherous Oregon coast. The young couple, who resided in Stayton, Oregon, were visiting Hyatt's grandparents at their oceanfront condominium in Depoe Bay.
