Kristina Thay Nguyen, aged 4, disappeared on April 18, 2002, along with her mother, Stephanie Van Nguyen, and her younger brother, John. The family was last seen after Stephanie left her Cincinnati, Ohio home, leaving behind a note stating that her struggling marriage had driven her to a decision to end her life and those of her children. She indicated her plan was to drive her 1997 Nissan Pathfinder into the Ohio River.
