Ayellah Gbo Dzata Marshall, 17, disappeared on February 1, 2005, after being last seen at a medical facility in Hawthorne, California. She left her infant daughter in the care of her parents and has not been heard from since. Initially, authorities and her family believed Ayellah may have run away due to her history of running away and her involvement with drugs while attending Hawthorne High School.
However, in 2010, a disturbing clue emerged when police found Ayellah's high school ID card in the home of Lonnie David Franklin Jr., the notorious serial killer known as the "Grim Sleeper." Franklin was later convicted for 10 murders and an attempted murder, though authorities believe he may have killed up to 25 women. Ayellah’s identification, along with hundreds of photos and videos of unidentified women, was discovered in Franklin’s home, raising the possibility of her being one of his victims, although she has not been officially linked to the Grim Sleeper's crimes.
Despite these developments, Ayellah’s case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to investigate. Her family and law enforcement still seek answers regarding her whereabouts and potential connection to Franklin.
