Abhishek Kumar, a 23-year-old man in the U.S. on a work visa, was last seen in Jonesboro, Georgia. He was working at a Shell gas station on Noah's Ark Road at the time of his disappearance. On the day he went missing, he was seen getting into a dark-colored car, possibly a Ford Fusion, at approximately 10:40 p.m. He was wearing a polo shirt with the Shell logo and dark-colored pants. The Clayton County Police Department is investigating his disappearance and has expressed that they believe he may be in danger.
Family and friends grew concerned after they were unable to contact him. The situation became more alarming when his family, who reside in India, received a disturbing phone call suggesting that Abhishek had been seriously harmed or even killed. This prompted them to file a missing person's report with the Clayton County Police. The investigation has included searches of his last known locations and interviews, as well as a welfare check at his residence on Upper Riverdale Road in Jonesboro. His cell phone's last known ping was near Cartersville in Bartow County. It is also noted that he has associates in both Indiana and California.
Further investigation into his disappearance revealed a troubled living situation. Abhishek shared an apartment with five or six other men, and reports suggest that on the evening he went missing, there was a gathering involving alcohol that may have led to a fight. Following his disappearance, his roommates also vanished, and authorities have been unable to make contact with them. This has led his family to suspect foul play was involved in his disappearance. The case remains active as investigators continue to seek information from the public to piece together the events leading to Abhishek Kumar's disappearance.
