Jeffery Wayne Braziel, age 37, was last seen on February 28, 2006, in Midland, Texas, near the intersection of Lee and Illinois streets. He has not been heard from since. At the time of his disappearance, Braziel, who was mentally handicapped, was considered to be in potential danger due to his condition. His family did not report him missing until March 13, 2006, nearly two weeks after he was last seen, which added challenges to the investigation.
