At the time, Bryan was with his mother, Maria, and her friend when a woman driving a black SUV approached them, asking for directions. The woman followed the bus they boarded, eventually persuading Maria and her friend to get into her vehicle. After making threatening demands, the woman forced Maria and her friend out of the car, leaving Bryan behind as she drove away.
The abductor was described as a heavyset Hispanic woman in her late 20s to early 30s, driving a black Ford Explorer SUV with peeling window tint. Despite extensive investigations, including potential connections to human trafficking and other leads, Bryan has not been found. His case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to search for both him and the woman who abducted him. Investigators initially speculated the abduction could be linked to a human trafficking debt, but later began leaning toward the possibility that it was a random crime, potentially involving a woman who wanted a baby.
