Joseph Hany Booth-Metwally, a 17-year-old high school student, was last seen on the morning of December 14, 2006, in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, California. At around 7:30 a.m., Joseph left his home, reportedly wearing a black shirt, dark blue ECKO jeans, black sneakers, and a black beanie. He has a distinctive appendectomy scar on his abdomen and is biracial, of Black and Egyptian descent.
His family and friends referred to him by the nickname "Joe."
Joseph was a senior at Galileo High School and a champion wrestler. Authorities believe he left voluntarily and may still be in the local area, but there has been little information on his whereabouts since his disappearance. His case is classified as that of an endangered runaway, and despite efforts from his family and law enforcement, no significant leads have emerged over the years.
