Jarrod Duke Johnston, an 18-year-old from Kentucky, was last seen on July 7, 2007, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. He had traveled with his family to spend the summer with friends and extended family. After a disagreement with his grandmother, who had not expected him to stay for an extended period, Jarrod left her home on foot, carrying all of his belongings. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Several attempts were made by his family to locate him, including following up on reported sightings and even receiving ransom emails, which turned out to be hoaxes. Despite these efforts, Jarrod's whereabouts remain unknown. In later years, potential leads emerged, such as a report of someone matching his description in Atlanta, but none of these leads led to his recovery.
Jarrod's case remains unsolved, and his family continues to search for answers. If anyone has information about his disappearance, they are encouraged to contact the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
