Daniel Reaves, a 25-year-old from Madison, Indiana, went missing on May 4, 2008. He was last seen by his girlfriend, Sara, at her home the night before. They spent the evening watching television, and when Sara woke up around 4 AM, Daniel was gone. She found a text message from him that simply said, "I love you," but when she tried calling him back, he didn't answer.
A week after his disappearance, Daniel's car was found abandoned near Clifty Falls State Park.
The car was unlocked, and his wallet containing his credit cards and identification was inside, but his keys and cell phone were missing. Despite an extensive search of the park, authorities found no evidence linking Daniel to the area.
Daniel's family members believe he wouldn't go hiking alone at 4 AM without telling anyone, and they don't think he would leave his identification behind on a hike. They also don't believe he was depressed or facing any personal problems at the time. Authorities continue to investigate the case and believe someone out there may have information that could help solve it.
