Jeffery Lynn Combs, age 41, was last seen on October 23, 2008, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He left a note for his mother, stating that his scooter, two helmets, and cell phone had been stolen, and he was going to search for the thief. Combs asked his mother to look for him if he wasn't back by dark. His mother returned home later to find his wet clothes on the floor, pork chops cooking on the stove, and no sign of Jeffery.
