Gebar Byrd Jr., a 23-month-old boy from University City, Missouri, was last seen on March 22, 2010. At the time of his disappearance, he lived with his parents, Yasmin Rodriguez and Gebar Byrd Sr. The couple had a tumultuous relationship marked by frequent arguments and domestic violence, which became a key element in the investigation. On March 28, 2010, six days after they were last seen, Rodriguez and her son were reported missing by concerned family members when they couldn't be reached.
