Mary Rachel Bryan, a 4-year-old girl, went missing alongside her mother, Lelia Lewis Bryan, on May 10, 1941, from Carolina Beach, North Carolina. That evening, Lelia and Mary Rachel left their home around 9:00 p.m. in a black 1935 Ford Model A coupe, reportedly heading to a store. They never returned, and neither they nor the car were ever seen again.
