James Colin Egan, an 18-year-old from Mequon, Wisconsin, went missing on August 6, 1972. At the time of his disappearance, James was traveling and hitchhiking across the country. He last contacted his family from San Francisco, California, informing them that he planned to hitchhike to Denver, Colorado, to catch a flight back home to Wisconsin. He told them he expected to return within the week, but he was never heard from again.
