Barbara Jean Aleksivich, a 24-year-old woman from Bath, New York, was last seen on the evening of October 3, 1973. She had been at the Bath Elks Club, located near Gansevoort and William Streets, and left around 10:45 p.m. to walk the short distance to her home. However, she never arrived, and her husband reported her missing soon after. At the time, she was wearing a white blouse, a blue and white plaid skirt, a green pullover sweater, and brown loafers, and she was known to wear eyeglasses.
