On June 22, 1979, 11-year-old Karen Reinert was last seen leaving her home in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, with her 10-year-old brother, Michael, and their mother, Susan Reinert. They got into Susan’s orange Plymouth Horizon, and this was the last time Karen and Michael were seen. Three days later, on June 25, Susan's naked body was discovered in the trunk of her own car, parked at a hotel in Swatara Township.
