James William Hires, an 18-year-old from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was last seen on October 12, 1981. He left his parents' home around 2:30 p.m., telling them he was going to pick up his brother. However, he never arrived at his destination. His brother called later that afternoon, concerned when James did not show up. James was driving the family car at the time of his disappearance.
