Sean Dubs, a 1-year-old boy, disappeared alongside his parents, Harvey and Deborah Dubs, on July 25, 1984, from their San Francisco home. Harvey had placed an ad to sell video equipment, and on the day of their disappearance, Deborah was on the phone with a friend when two men arrived in response to the ad. The family was never heard from again.
Investigators believe that Sean and his parents were abducted and murdered by notorious serial killers Charles Ng and Leonard Lake.
A neighbor saw an unidentified man leave the Dubs' residence with a box on the day they disappeared, and later, another neighbor spotted a vehicle leaving their apartment. A receipt with Harvey's name was found at Lake's property, but the family's remains were never recovered. It is suspected that they were taken to Lake's remote ranch and killed there.
Ng was later convicted of 11 murders, while Lake took his own life in custody. Despite the conviction, the exact fate of the Dubs family remains unknown, and the case is classified as a non-family abduction.
