In the late summer of 1985, a young woman named Elizabeth Eisel, just 23 years old, vanished from the Seattle, Washington area. She was last seen around September 3rd of that year. Elizabeth, a white female with brown hair and green eyes, also had severely impaired sight, requiring her to wear contact lenses or glasses. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing between 115 and 125 pounds. Elizabeth had been using the alias Danielle Deloge, a name she adopted in 1982. Elizabeth's life had seen significant upheaval in the years leading to her disappearance. Adopted at birth, she experienced a family tragedy in 1981 when her adoptive mother and brother were killed in a car accident. This event spurred her to search for her biological mother. Her search led her to her half-brother, Steven "Troy" DeLoge. The two began a relationship, presenting themselves as a married couple, and in 1983, they had a son together. By early 1985, the family had moved to an apartment in Bellevue, Washington. However, the relationship between Elizabeth and Steven deteriorated soon after, and they both began seeing other people. Following a heated argument with Steven in August 1985, Elizabeth and her son moved in with her new boyfriend. She had expressed her intention to formally end her relationship with Steven after the Labor Day holiday. Following Elizabeth's disappearance, Steven claimed that she had left the area and abandoned their child. However, she left all of her personal belongings behind and has not been heard from since. Shortly after she was last seen, Steven began a relationship with another woman from their apartment complex, and they married and moved to northern Idaho by December 1985. Elizabeth and Steven's son was left with a babysitter in Bellevue and was eventually placed in the care of Washington State Child Protective Services. Due to her estrangement from her family, Elizabeth was not officially reported as a missing person until 1988. Over the years, Steven DeLoge has been considered the prime suspect in her disappearance, as well as the 1999 disappearance of a subsequent girlfriend, Katherine Lowery, in Mississippi. Though he was later convicted of sexually abusing Lowery's daughter and sentenced to multiple life terms in prison, he has never been charged in connection with either woman's disappearance. Foul play is suspected in Elizabeth Eisel's case, which remains an unsolved and deeply concerning mystery.
