Robert Anthony Biela, 36 years old at the time of his disappearance, was last seen on September 4, 1986, in Harlingen, Texas. He was reported missing under concerning circumstances, as he was classified as disabled. At the time of his disappearance, Biela was wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans, and flip-flops. He stood between 5'4" and 5'7" tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. A notable distinguishing feature was a birthmark on the left side of his lips.
