On March 17, 1988, 50-year-old George A. Primavera, a resident of Chappaqua, New York, completed his workday at Dynacept in Bedford Hills and seemingly vanished. That evening, he was seen at his place of business shortly before 6:00 p.m. Just four days prior, he had returned from a vacation in St. Martin. At the time of his disappearance, Mr. Primavera was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds, with graying hair and brown eyes. A notable characteristic was a crippled finger on his right hand. He was last seen wearing a dark blue pinstripe suit, a white shirt, and a tan overcoat. The circumstances surrounding George Primavera's disappearance are unsettling. As his colleagues were leaving for the day, he stayed behind to take a phone call. While police are reportedly aware of the identity of the person on the other end of that call, this information has not been publicly disclosed. When Mr. Primavera failed to return home for dinner, his wife became concerned and sent their son to his workplace to check on him. Upon arrival, his son discovered his father's Mercedes still in the parking lot with a side door unlocked. There was no sign of George Primavera, and his briefcase was also missing from the vehicle. The investigation into his disappearance has yielded few substantial leads over the decades. One piece of information that emerged was the sighting of a tan, late-model GMAC or Chevrolet pickup truck in good condition parked near the delivery door of Dynacept around the time he was last seen. Despite police looking into his finances and professional life, no red flags were raised; his work deadlines were met, and he appeared to have good relationships with his coworkers. The case of George Primavera remains an unsolved missing person case, a lingering mystery for his family and the community. Anyone with information regarding his disappearance is encouraged to contact the Bedford Town Police Department.
