Olen Smith Missing Person Case

Olen Smith, a 38-year-old man, went missing on April 17, 1988, from Horseheads, New York. On the day of his disappearance, Smith was fishing on Canandaigua Lake in a 15-foot fiberglass boat with two children. Unfortunately, the boat was caught in high winds and waves, causing it to sink. Despite the dangerous conditions, local residents were able to rescue the two children, but Smith was seen going under the water and never resurfaced.
