Tasha Shante Wright, a 10-year-old girl, was last seen on October 14, 1989, in Dallas, Texas. On that day, Tasha walked from her home at the Valley Glen Apartments on Hollybush Drive to a neighbor’s apartment within the complex to deliver a message for her mother. She was seen between 10:30 and 10:50 a.m. but never returned home. An unconfirmed sighting suggested that she may have been seen in the breezeway of a nearby apartment shortly after her disappearance.
Another report indicated that she was seen staring at bushes near her apartment complex just before she went missing.
Despite extensive searches, including the use of helicopters and search dogs, no trace of Tasha was found. Authorities have long suspected foul play, though no significant leads have emerged. Tasha was described as being 4'3" to 5'0" tall, weighing around 70 pounds, with black hair, which she wore pulled to the side with a clip. She was wearing an aqua blue shirt, matching shorts, and brown slip-on sandals at the time of her disappearance. Tasha was a bright fourth-grade student in the gifted and talented program at Bayles Elementary School, where she enjoyed music, dancing, and swimming.
