Belinda Frances Norred, a 36-year-old mother of two, was last seen on August 6, 1992, at her home in the Shadowood Mobile Home Park in Acworth, Georgia. She was in the midst of an argument with her boyfriend, Steven Creasman, when they both left in her silver Nissan pickup truck. Her fourteen-year-old daughter was not home at the time, and when she returned the next day, her mother was gone. Also missing from the home were a phone cord and a comforter. Belinda's nineteen-year-old son, who had been home that night, believed his mother had left with Creasman before he woke up. Belinda has not been seen or heard from since that day.
Approximately six weeks after she vanished, Belinda's silver Nissan pickup truck was discovered abandoned in a shopping center parking lot in Marietta, Georgia. There was no trace of Belinda at the scene. The investigation into her disappearance soon focused on Steven Creasman, who became the primary suspect. It was discovered that after she went missing, Creasman had pawned some of her jewelry, pieces her children said she never took off. He was also reportedly in possession of a gun that Belinda usually kept in her purse. Tragically, Creasman was also a suspect in the 1989 disappearance of another girlfriend, Twyla Mickey, and the 1986 murder of his wife, Rita Creasman. Rita's body was found strangled in a creek just days after she was reported missing. Despite being the prime suspect in all three cases, Steven Creasman was never charged. He passed away in 2013, taking any potential knowledge of Belinda's whereabouts with him.
